“Now what can I say about this next lass, she’s one of the most talented singers in the whole of Ireland, and I don’t say that lightly.
Cathy Jordan is of course lead singer with Dervish and she also works with that great band The Unwanted, together with Rick Epping and Seamie O’Dowd.
Well the girl spent about 20 years working on a new album she’s just released called of All the Way Home.
It was launched at The Celtic Connections last week in Scotland and there’s a lot of launch gigs on all over Ireland so check out the lass’s website for gigs to come and go and have a look at her because I think this album is absolutely beautiful, every track on it is completely and utterly luscious and it’s well worth waiting 20 years for a solo album.
Here she is with the title track All the Way Home, Miss Cathy Jordan.
plays track
Well from my favourite albums of the last couple of months, Cathy Jordan there with All the Way Home, the title track of her new album and I’m not kidding, every track on it is absolutely superb.”
